HOW DO I BUILD MY TEAM?
We could answer this question by simply giving you a list of things that coaches do. Except there’s a few important things we want you to know first. When deciding to become a coach we’ve discovered that people have many misconceptions about what’s required or expected of them once they jump on board. We’re here to put those fears to rest. First and foremost, the requirements are small, and the expectations can only be set by you. One of the biggest concerns people often have is how to build their team, or feeling uncomfortable about selling to friends and family. You’ll actually be surprised that for most coaches, their first few customers often end up being friends or family because they want to support you, but by no means is it necessary to be a successful coach. Over the years of helping coaches build their business, we have discovered there are four types or stages that coaches typically find themselves: a) The Advocate 2) The Activist 3) The Business Builder 4) The Team Leader. It might be helpful to understand these stages and visualize where you might see yourself.
To wrap this up, regarding the question; “What will I have to do to be a successful coach?” The answer is, you decide! This truly is your business. At every stage of being a coach, you decide what fits into your life. You decide how much you want to pour into it, and how much you expect in return. It won’t always be easy. You will feel challenged and you will grow personally and professionally. It’s something every entrepreneur experiences. The freedom to try and learn often requires courage and tenacity. Still, the rewards are far greater when you create a business doing something you truly love waking up to every day.

BUILDING THROUGH SOCIAL MEDIA
The majority of coaches have found success in building their business through social media or through casual conversation when people start to notice your own transformation. I’ll be the first to admit, I am not a social media person. Facebook or Instagram was a place where I kept in touch with people closest to me so posting regularly about my life wasn’t something that came naturally. I have never been inspired to become a social media “influencer”, and I don’t consider myself to be very creative when it comes to content. However, I discovered that the more I was just myself, and as my journey unfolded, I felt inspired to share my story with others. There is a large spectrum on how each person can use social media to help expand your business. You can grow it more organically like I did, or if you’re a little more tech savvy there are endless opportunities to market yourself to people from all over the world through advertising, hashtags, live videos or personal engagement within a community. The most important thing to understand is this business is not about selling, it’s about connecting, listening, and sharing. Sharing your favorite recipes, tips on ways to stay motivated, inspirational quotes, etc.
